EducationUSA at USEFP, in collaboration with Lincoln Corner Islamabad is pleased to host an in-person session with Dr. Robert Hall, Head of the Mining Engineering and Management Department at South Dakota Mines, a leading expert in the global mining sector. Dr. Hall brings extensive academic and industry experience. Prior to joining South Dakota Mines, he served as a professor at the University of Alberta in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering. He also spent 15 years at the University of British Columbia, where he held the role of Associate Dean for the Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on mining equipment design and automation, equipment maintenance and reliability, comminution, and energy reduction. He has published widely in journals and conferences and has worked on international consulting projects across multiple countries. In this session, Dr. Hall will share insights on cutting-edge developments in mining engineering, sustainable practices, and academic and career pathways in this field. This is a valuable opportunity for students interested in engineering, geology, and related disciplines to learn directly from an international expert.
