Beyond Grades: A Competitive Graduate Profile with Rice University- Hybrid

Who should attend: Prospective graduate student

Join EducationUSA Pakistan for a hybrid graduate-focused session with Rice University on what makes a strong and competitive graduate school applicant beyond academic grades alone. The session will explore the different elements that can strengthen a graduate application, including academic preparation, research interests, relevant experience, statement of purpose, recommendations, and overall program fit. Students will also gain insight into how graduate admissions teams evaluate applicants and what prospective international students should keep in mind when preparing their applications. We are pleased to welcome Jennifer Hunter, Assistant Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Rice University, who will join us virtually from the United States and share practical guidance and perspectives on building a well-rounded and competitive graduate profile. Participants will have the option to attend in person or virtually through Zoom. In-person participants will have the opportunity to engage directly during the session and ask their questions, while virtual participants may submit questions through the Q&A box. Join us to gain valuable insights directly from a U.S. university graduate admissions professional and better understand how to present a strong graduate application beyond grades alone. Venue details for in-person participation will be confirmed upon registration.
